Exclusive Hire of Alston Youth Hostel
Got a large group or family and want to get together or to celebrate something special?
Alston Youth Hostel is available throughout the year (including the Christmas and New Year period) for Exclusive Hire where you have sole use of the whole hostel.
With 30 beds in 7 rooms on the first floor (bedding included), dining space for up to 30 people, cosy lounge area and a well equipped self catering kitchen and drying room it is ideal for family & friends get-togethers, walking/cycling groups or for celebrations such as birthdays*, Christmas or New Year.
Ideally located only a few minutes walk from Alston town centre with 4 pubs, a takeaway and 2 supermarkets! And of course oodles of lovely countryside, footpaths (we’re situated directly on the Pennine Way!) and quiet roads for cycling on your doorstep!
Exclusive Hire is on a self catering basis only.

Friday 29th March – Monday 1st April 2024 – £650 per night * minimum 2 night stay
2nd April 2024 to 30th April 2024
Sunday to Thursday – £600 per night
Friday & Saturday – £650 per night*
1st May to 30th June 2024
Sunday to Thursday – £650 per night
Friday & Saturday – £700 per night*
1st July – 31st August 2024

*Minimum 2 night stay for a Friday & Saturday
YHA members can get a 10% discount on Exclusive hire bookings.
A 25% deposit is required on booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings due to arrive within a month of booking will need to pay the full amount 14 days before arrival or the full amount if the arrival is within 2 weeks.
